The 2017 Color of the Year: Pantone Greenery

Have you seen the color of the year for 2017?!? I could not be more excited. Pantone Greenery is just all kinds of lush, exuberant, wonderful. It’s the color of nature and growth and energy—of grass and sprouts and foliage. Greenery looks fantastic as the “pop of color” in your living or dining room, or even with cooler colors in the bedroom. It’s wonderful with neutrals and with mid-century or danish modern palettes and woods.

Greenery’s also a color that looks a-mazing in a print. It just pops off the paper. I was already under way on some images using this palette when news of this gorgeous life-filled gem came down the internet pike, and I can’t wait to share them with you. There's a tiny preview of the work in progress in the header image for this blog.

Pantone says that “Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.” That might be a lot of symbolism for a simple color, but Greenery is definitely a color that brings the outdoors in and a vibrating energy to a piece of paper or a room. Add it into your home using plants, pillows, throws, or art, and start getting that invigorating, restoring, flourishing vibe for your own.
