Reed Rise

On an early spring walk along the edge of a nearby wetland, I noticed tiny shoots of green poking up through the dry brown stalks of last year’s reeds. Each year the energy of life comes surging up, overtaking what’s gone before. This image captures that energy in graphic form, and plays with the many subtle shades of green that emerge each spring.
