Here Comes 2018!
Looking Back & Looking Forward
For me the weeks leading up to the New Year are a time for reflection and goal setting. Looking back over 2017, there are many, many things I would change on the world stage, but not for Household Art. It was my first full year of operation, and and its been a wonderful ride.I’ve grown the number of prints available in the shop, started taking on commissions and seen the prints ship to Canada and the US. I’ve extended my reach on social media, and made amazing new friends through my art and business.
The Collectors Circle has grown, and I’ve been able to consistently add to the package I can offer its members. Currently, members get the first opportunity to buy new editions, exclusive discounts, and monthly free downloadables. I have more great benefits coming for 2018, so stay tuned.
The past year has also been a fascinating learning experience. (Who knew marketing art could be so complicated?!) I’ve had the most fantastic, useful feedback from everyone involved with Household Art and my prints this year. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your amazing help.
One thing I’ve consistently heard is that you all want me to share more from behind the scenes of my art practice. However simple and minimal the finished work, the middle of the artistic process can seem like a hot mess, so I’ve been a bit reluctant to do this. But you asked, and I’m answering, so starting with the studio shot above, for 2018 I’ll be sending regular peeks at work in progress. The header for this email shows the photo reference and some early sketches for a new series I plan to put out in February. As you can tell from the photo, it will come as a welcome tropical relief in the middle of winter.
The first Collectors Circle download for 2018 is now available. If you aren’t already a member, now’s a great time to jump in and start collecting this year’s downloadables.
