Big Changes are Coming Here at Janet Taylor Art

If you’ve followed along here for a bit, you know that I have had two studios for some time now—one in downtown Toronto, and a small summer studio in Muskoka. At the beginning of August, I am moving to one year-round studio on a lake in Nova Scotia.

I’m unbelievably excited about the opportunities for personal and artistic growth that this move will bring. For me, change always drives new ideas, and the new surroundings, new landscape, and large new studio have me just fizzing with energy. I’ll be sharing lots about the move itself and my new studio space as I move ahead.

Unfortunately, between now and being fully situated in this fantastic new place is the move itself. “I want to put everything I own in boxes, and put those boxes on a truck and move them across the country”, said no one ever. There will be a significant period (around 5-6 weeks) when my paintings are in transit, and I will be unable to ship them.

If you’ve had your eye on any of my paintings, now is the time. If you buy a painting before July 23rd, I will be able to ship it before the end of the month. After that, you can purchase a painting and it will be yours, but I will be unable to ship it to you until September 1st. During this time, you will continue to be able to buy prints, but please allow a few extra days for shipment.

I hope you’ll follow along with this new chapter, and I thank you in advance for your patience during the transition.

PS. I still plan to be in Toronto and show my work here regularly—Artist Project 2022 is already in the schedule, and other things are in the works. I will also be offering regular virtual visits from the new studio.
